Mobility Business
Customers of LION SPECIALTY CHEMICALS use its products in the manufacture of a variety of rubber products, including automobile parts and tires, through such processes as unvulcanized rubber compounding and vulcanization molding. Used throughout these processes, our rubber processing chemicals reduce defects and improve the productivity of various rubber products. In particular, our anti-sticking agents, which prevent unvulcanized rubber from blocking, have been well received.
Electronics Business
Our electro-conductive carbon-related products, such as electro-conductive carbon black, exhibit excellent conductivity when mixed in small amounts, while our conductive compounds, which offer various conductive fillers highly dispersed in resin, are well regarded raw materials in the rubber and plastic fields. By leveraging our acrylic, urethane, and polyester modification technologies, we are also able to offer a lineup of optical films for use in an array of electronic materials as well as functional pressure-sensitive adhesives for automobiles and domestic appliance applications.
Care-Chemical Business
Surfactants, the primary components of detergents and toiletry products, have properties ranging from detergency, emulsification and dispersion to foaming and antistatic effects. We provide a variety of surfactants suitable for use in a wide array of applications that include household products, commercial detergents, shampoos, conditioners, and cosmetics and hygiene products. All of our cosmetic products are compliant with the Japanese Standards of Quasi-drug Ingredients 2021.
Eco-Chemical Business
Leopack concrete fluidizer is packaged in a water-soluble material. This frees the user from the hassle of having to measure out the active ingredients and makes it a one-of-a-kind product in the concrete industry. We offer a broad range of chemicals suitable for a variety of construction applications, from laying foundations to repair and finishing work, as well as concrete repair materials, curing agents and pouring agents. Our lineup includes an assortment of functional agents for treating the boards that play an essential role as residential building materials. In addition, we offer environmentally friendly mold release and water-repellent agents. Also, drawing on proprietary technology, we have successfully developed and launched an environmentally friendly plant-based electrical insulating oils that outperforms both mineral and conventional plant-based electrical insulating oils.
Products by Structure
We stock a variety of surfactants, including nonionic surfactants such as Leocol TDN, a product related to NRE (narrow range ethoxylate) technology that won an award from the Society of Polymer Science for its use in the polymerization of ethylene oxide; anionic surfactants such as linear alkyl benzene sulfonic acid and its salts (LAS), alpha olefin sulfonates (AOS) and alkyl ether sulfates (AES); fabric softeners and conditioning agents; and cationic surfactants used as disinfectants. Furthermore, our product lineup includes natural oil and fat derivatives (glycerin, fatty acid esters, alkyl amines) made from vegetable oils and fats as the raw materials.
